Poem – The Power of Beauty and Love

I wish for a world
that sees the beauty
in weather worn red cheeks.

A world that does not need
to suppress the beauty of women
so that men are not distracted.

Beauty is supposed to be distracting.

It is supposed to capture your total attention.

Take your breath away.

Make your heart leap.

And make that light come out of your eyes.

When the inner light and darkness
of the soul is embraced, one becomes beautiful.

When the love inside your soul is cultivated and gathered, you awaken the divine within.

That is how we turn fear into courage, loss into abundance, and detachment into intimacy.
