Poem – Freedoms Song

As the Full Moon rises and the Bald Eagle spreads its wings.
Above the wails … the sounds of freedom sings.

Dictators fail because their egos cannot back away.
They compound the problems with their hate that  will never sway.

But “We The People” know how to fight for what is right.
And we will resist dictators with all our might.

Those that know right from wrong.
Will not stand down when they hear freedoms song.

Those in power may try to tear us apart.
But they will never be allowed to take my heart.

I listen to the suffering of my fellow man.
And I know that I am called to do all that I can.

Together we can change the course of this time.
And those in power will face the consequences of their crimes.
