Add the 1 + 2 + 8 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 2 = 17. 1 + 7 = 8.

The number 8 takes us through the doorways of grief to finally arrive at those places of change. There are times that profoundly embracing loss will give us a perspective that will illuminate that which was previously unseen, unknown, and avoided.

How many great stories and myths include the journey through tragedy to triumph?
Practically all of them.

While we want to have a “happy” life, it is those moments when things do not go our way that we learn about our own resilience and about tools that we did not know we had.
Take a look at this world and try to alleviate suffering in the ways that one is able. Know that while we cannot stop the karmic journey of suffering … as a tool for awakening and enlightenment, we can do our best to not add to it.
And we can learn to embrace feelings as they arise and know that they are just that, energy in motion. Emotions are transient and are to remind us of the impermanence of this experience.
Being on this earth is a journey of self-discovery through the emotional range and depth of feelings and complex human expressions.
But just as weather moves through the seasons and skies, feelings move through their seasons to support changes in our cycles.

Mercury retrograde will connect with Pluto, and that is going to make emotions more intense. Know that the chance of overthinking everything … is high. Know that all choices in such a state the mind can be horribly inaccurate.
We will feel this dramatic flair again on February 11^th, so take this as a dry run to test your ability to stay centered while riding this ship in a storm.
Focus on the good things in one’s life.
Let go of the rest.

The Sun and Chiron will sextile and while we are all seeking to know our highest purpose, we look for confidence and ways to allow our spirit to expand and grow.
Focus on how we can create a healthy world, healthy and educated populations, and bring a better balance into a world tilting out of alignment.
Today, is a day to find deeper truths and make a decision to not live only on the surface of life but to look with conscious awareness … at what we have hidden from ourselves until we were mature and ready to take that next (very needed) step.

If one is feeling obsessed, frustrated, or manipulative, then one is still not handling this particular astrological aspect in the highest and best way.

Learning to focus mental energy in chaotic times … is a test to see if we are still living in our primal, reactive mind or if we are learning self-restraint, mature self-reflection, and compassionate acceptance of our humanness.

Venus is slowing down in the sky, and it will shift towards a more direct motion tomorrow. This can add to the confusion. It is best to not do anything but wait for calmness and clarity. All choices need to be towards bringing our awareness to our higher calling.

Too often in life we think we need to do it all.

And that sets us up for some terrible falls.

Those moments when we have to pick ourselves up.

We have to look at what we keep giving up.

Most often it is our own peace and state of mind.

We too often forget to be … with ourselves … more kind.

And that ends badly for one and all.

We cannot thrive with our back against a wall.

When we come to that certain moment in time.
That we will not take on another person’s grime.

We learn to step around that puddle of karmic fate.

And we embrace who we are before it is too late.
