Poem – Listen With Your Heart

Can you see the light in the dark?
Do you feel the terrible hurt in a remark?
Will you stand for the goodness in life.
Will you stand up against those that cause endless strife?

I learned a long time ago that choices matter a lot.
I learned that no matter what, it is terrible to be bought.
I have learned that life shows many roads.
Some are filled with confusion and cryptic codes.

That is why I listen mostly to my heart.
I know that it is always the best place to start.
Try to not fall into the ego traps.
That others lay out like enticing apps.

My heart knows the way and its path is clear.
Love everyone and everything and be fully here.
Too often we pick a position or a side.
But that just shows that you have something to hide.

Often it is the hate still living in your heart.
The mind tells you that you must pick a part.
But the part I pick is to remember that we are all here.
To learn to love not to complain and jeer.

Take this moment to let the division inside go.
Allow the love to flourish and flow.
Discover that there is no need to take a side.
When you are whole and with nothing to hide.
