Suzanne Wagner Poem – Things That Haunt Us

Suzanne Wagner Poem – Things That Haunt Us

Things haunt us … when they are left undone.
Moments in time stopped … before we felt the sun.
Places where dreams never had a chance.
Moments that we thought were true love, were only romance.

It is your job in this life … to not wait.
Because you do not know when you might see St Peter’s gate.
Do those dreams and do them now.
Do not wait for circumstances to allow.

Creation requires effort to open unknown doors.
Do not wait for karma to even the scores.
Lessons that others need to learn are not about you.
That is why you need to begin to break through.

In each moment, your life can drift further away.
Especially when seriousness overrides play.
Take the time to lean into the unknown.
Spend much less time on your dam phone.

Go outside and let inspiration find your heart.
Give it the quiet so that the dreams can start.
Then let what might become real, find a way.
Past your mind and become a ballet.

We are a mixture of truth and dreams.
We are the gifts that haunt us and tear at our seams.
They want to be born not hide forever inside.
Earth is a place to finally jump on that ride.

Ride the wave of your creative self.
Become the dreams that you put on the shelf.
Show the beauty from your own special lens.
Pick up a paintbrush or some magical pens.

Life does not wait for you to be ready.
Great things come out even when we are unsteady.
Creation is a release from the tension inside.
Release the passions that you have tried to hide.

Do not die, without going for some of those dreams.
When we attempt them here, we tear open those seams.
And discover that behind those things that haunted us here.
Are just the beginning of us discovering a new frontier.
