Poem – The Epyllion of Ballet
In the hushed elegance of a moon-kissed eve,
Where whispers of stardust weave
A tale of ardor that takes flight,
In pirouettes of delicate might.
A ballerina’s silhouette, poised and rare,
Reflects the wistful moon’s gentle stare,
Amidst the expanse of a theater’s embrace,
The stage, a canvas for subtlety’s grace.
From the tender arch of a swan-like neck,
To the twirl of satin skirts, a delicate fleck,
A love story etched in each tender bend,
A quest for the grace that time can’t rend.
In the crease of each satin-lined fold,
Lies the lore of a story, still untold.
A journey unfurls, a grand escapade,
Through shadows and light, in soft serenade.
The dance begins with a yearning heart,
Eager to unravel the intricacies of this art,
To grasp the magic in each whispered sigh,
And the wonder hidden in each enigmatic tie.
With each plié and graceful arabesque,
Reveries take flight, the soul’s gentle grotesque.
A quest for subtlety, an enchanting spree,
In the rhapsody of a waltz, so wild and free.
Amidst the symphony’s tantalizing embrace,
Subtlety whispers secrets, revealing its face.
In the flutter of lashes and a silent adieu,
The grand adventure unfolds, the mystery anew.
Through the subtle flicker of a candle’s flame,
Revealed is the truth of this elusive game.
The magic of subtlety, an enigma untold,
Unveils its splendor, in moments of old.
In the echo of applause, a quiet descent,
The ballet of life finds its sweet ascent.
In each delicate gesture, a story to tell,
Of love for the dance, in which hearts dwell.
So let the epyllion unfurl its tale,
Of a love for dance that will never pale,
In the labyrinth of subtlety’s grand design,
A cherished discovery, forever entwined.
