Today is the number 3, and it supports us in being more positive and upbeat. But this number is always a bit raucous.

When we are tense and tight for too long, when things finally let go, and we shed the skin of social appropriateness, we will want to cut loose, let our hair down, and get a bit wild.

There are people that prefer to keep a tight lid on themselves. There are those that feel threatened when too much freedom is given, and that wildness becomes chaotic enough that those tight people feel as if they are personally in danger.

My comment is that freedom is always a wild card on a good day. When you allow free thoughts … then free actions are bound to ensue. And for some that believe that self-control is the path, such freedoms seem outright dangerous.

And they are dangerous. They are dangerous to the old methods and paths of our past. But life must constantly evolve and change.

Besides control is the ultimate illusion.

Look at how fast the Berlin Wall came down. You can only suppress people for so long. Then they will demand a change and nothing and no one will be able to stop them from taking what is rightfully theirs.

Today, practice letting your hair down and letting go. Let yourself express your wild and silly side and give it a spin around the park. You will feel refreshed and free once again. You will feel empowered and actually like who you are once again.

Conforming to the societal norms is just a game because in the evolution of the mind, wanting to fit into a group is the youthful need of the soul’s quest for belonging. But real freedom is not about compressing your being into the container that others deem appropriate. Freedom is in knowing that the phrase for “fitting in” is another way of saying, “prison.”
