Poem – Everyone’s Ship Will Eventually Sink

Poem – Everyone’s Ship Will Eventually Sink

Sometimes you have to let the ship sink,

And watch it disappear in the brink.

For no matter how hard you try,

Some boats will sink, and that’s no lie.

The person in the boat must row,

And steer it where the currents flow.

If they refuse to take control,

The ship will sink, and that’s the toll.

You can offer them a helping hand,

But they must be willing to take a stand.

If they choose to do nothing at all,

The ship will sink, and that’s the call.

It’s hard to watch a ship go down,

And see it slowly start to drown.

But sometimes, that is the way it needs to be,

As we must accept the laws of life and the sea.

For every ship must face its fate,

And some will sink, no matter how great.

So hold your head up high, and be strong,

And know that you did nothing wrong.

Sometimes when you let the ship go down.

It causes terrible pain and a horrendous sound.

Because all the effort that you did try.

Was shown to be a way for the self to be denied.

We waste too much time trying to stop sinking ships.

And forget to look at our own eclipse.

Do you save a soul if you too will drown?

Your life still means something as another goes down.

Take the love that is inside your heart.

And right now, make a vow and a new start.

Steer your boat towards those distant shores.

And decide to have your life instead open doors.

Sometimes it is time for certain ships to go down.

Sometimes the karma of the past comes back around.

We cannot stop the lessons that some much learn.

Some ships will sink silently, as others will burn.

And one day even our ship will sink.

Then others will watch it disappear into the brink.

But as my ship sinks into the ocean.

It will be my choice of great love and devotion.

Because my ship will become a reef for new life.

And all the lessons learned under such strife.

We be a great foundation for many new things to grow.

And over time the colorful corals will become their own show.
