Astrology for December 17, 2024

The Moon in Cancer is comfortingly familiar. We seek to understand from whence we came. To do that, the first step is to love our ancestors and to allow forgiveness to come into the mix for the behaviors that were learned from wounding that then translated into odd or conflicting manners and ways. We are in the holiday season and it is important for each of us to learn how to move with family and find those places where we can learn to love more deeply and understand. This Moon will leave Cancer and go into Leo this evening and it will brighten the festive air and bring us into a place of feeling more confident and empowered.

The Moon is in a trine to Neptune, and we seek ways to stay focused on our dreams and not the reality.

Neptune and Venus will semi-square later in the day and just know that any conflict might seem either the worst thing ever or it could be the best thing. We seem to be emotionally pulled from one extreme to the other. Try to find the middle and don’t let you mind create situations that feel disempowering. People behave in the ways they feel and in the ways that their karma is attempting to teach them. Their choices and behaviors are not really about you anyway. So, don’t take things personally. We don’t know what kind of day others are having and do your best to not put expectations on others. Just learn to be grateful for what is being offered.

Remember, everyone has personality quirks and idiosyncrasies in certain moments. When you can playfully understand one’s own flaws and odd behaviors, we are much more forgiving of others.

The Sun and Neptune will square later today and know that it is easy to believe in something that might not be true. Best to keep our opinions to ourselves.
