Astrology for December 30, 2024

This month we were fortunate to get to experience two New Moons. This one is in the winter solstice sign of Capricorn heralding the return of the light. What does that light represent for you? Is it a new way to see the world? Is it a new job or a new relationship? As we are in the darkest time of the year, I like to see it as illuminating things that were hidden and in the dark. For some that will be those things we hide inside. For others it will be those things that they deny on the outside.

But as this is a powerful New Moon, I hope you have written down your dreams and goals for 2025. Today is the perfect day to light the fireplace, do a small ceremony, and then ritualistically burn them so they are released into the ethers for the Divine to know your intentions and the angels can begin to create what aligns to support us in being our best self.

As we are in the sign of the Goat, know that we are being asked to be ambitious as we are going to be climbing some very sheer cliffs in our reality. We will need the tenacity of Capricorn to make those things happen with our determination and follow-through. We need to be very practical in our approach rather than idealistic. And it is time to move from a very mature place that looks honestly at the future and plans accordingly.

What seems out of order in our lives is asking for more structure and due diligence. When we make a list and plan ahead, it is going to feel very relaxing to our nervous system.

One of the hard lessons to learn in life that is now up again, and it is that when we make reasonable choices and hold up boundaries that support what we are becoming, that is where we will eventually find freedom. We live in a world with too much worry and chaos. And that is because we have those in charge that have no structure and believe they are above the law. When governments go against the people there will be some very hard lessons to learn.

The North Node and Pluto will sextile and that adds energy and passion into what we are focusing on. Notice where you want connection with others and work to improve those connections. This is a time for great transformations if we are willing to open our mind and heart to those we trust.

Chiron and Mercury are moving into a trine and that will allow us this time to be more open to the possibilities. Conversations can be deeper than normal and so very interesting.

We are in a small window where those spirits, guides, and angels on the other side are more able to connect in meaningful and clarifying ways. Things that seemed confusing and uncertain might just clear up. Embrace the messages that are coming in and remember that when we are open, it is not just easier to hear and understand others, but it is also easier for others to understand us and our intentions.
