Astrology for the Week of February 4-10, 2024

The Sun in Aquarius motivates us to try. And since that seems to be the focus we might as well be original and allow our approach to be less conventional and more Avant Garde. Playing it safe does not seem to match our mood. We do not like anything that is constraining or that is outdated now.
Mercury will move into Aquarius on February 5^th till the 23^rd. This gives us added impetus to get going and approach things from a very unusual perspective. The key with this aspect is to be reasonable but to take a few risks. If we want a better future, we have to do things differently. A new conversation needs to be started and let that inspire interesting ideas that can bridge the old reality with the new requirements of this moment.
Venus will be in Capricorn till the 16^th, and we need to get our financial picture into some sort of order. We look to generate connections that can give us the long-term security that we want and need. While this Venus is in a cold winter sign, we might be less overtly affectionate but know that behind closed doors we will be able to express our real feelings more authentically and come across less guarded.
Mars is also in Capricorn till February 13^th and Mars in this position is careful and consistent. It can make us a bit skeptical as we prefer order to the wasteful ways that some intend to generate disgusting mannerisms and a lack of mental clarity or composure. Do your best to not become too negative or your approach might be seen as being uninviting.
Jupiter continues in Taurus and close to Uranus also in Taurus. We are wanting to radically shift how we move in our world. We are tired of stagnation, and we just want to get things to move forward. All the past few years of some people that want to pull us backwards is highly distasteful. We recognize that we need some goals and directions that will get us there. While it is hard to make expansive Jupiter patient, that is exactly what it is trying to do for us.
Saturn continues in Pisces, and this can make us feel uncomfortable with showing our vulnerability. The metaphor I use for this aspect is currently happening, because I use the idea of an atmospheric river that is pounding California at the moment. It causes the levels of emotion and feelings to rise like the water in the creeks and rivers, eventually causing them to overflow their banks (Saturn).
We are learning to notice where our emotional selves have been suppressed for too long and are now overflowing the patterns of restraint and self-control that we have imposed upon them. Things feel messy, uncomfortable and bring up some old fears. This is an opportunity to embrace our flawed human self. See him or her as beautiful and perfect regardless of our inner critic. We have to learn to accept ourselves as we are. Only then will we be able to fully discover our creative and imaginative sides. This aspect calls all of us to put ego games to the side and instead embrace what is in front of us so we can get things accomplished smoothly.
Pluto is plodding slowly through Aquarius, and it seems as if many are feeling totally hit from a variety of levels. This Pluto is a call to action. It insists that there is no more time to waste. We must change … and the consequences of not changing are going to be dire. We have much work ahead of us and we are still seeking a plan that will be embraced by the masses. This entire year is a wild ride so remember to take essential breaks and to step away from things that you know will not promote positive change.
