Numerology for 10/18/2023

10/18/2023 is the number 17

1 + 0 + 1 + 8 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 3 = 17
1 + 7 = 8

The number 8 is a day of grief and morning. Perhaps you may feel it as despair for a world spinning out of control. Perhaps it is more personal and you are dealing with loved ones whose health is in question. Regardless, today is a day to allow in the pain for what is happening. We cannot and too often will not change without terrible things happening that force us to reevaluate our choices and decisions.
As the rain lightly fell down yesterday where I live, and this morning the clouds sit heavy on the mountain tops, I contemplate the horror that some do in their lives and justify it with zealous rants that sound like the diatribes of justification.
We learn once again that mankind falls into a primal place of tribal barbarianism at times and such selfish actions pull everyone into these conflicts … especially the innocent.
I do not know what the answer is other than a definitive demand that schools teach the terrible and horrible historical truths at moments when it is age appropriate. Without knowing what we have done in the past we cannot often make better decisions when pushed.
I believe that we learn from each other. I have listened to the many teachers in my life, and I have listened to their stories and how their mind made decisions in times of stress. Only to find myself (years later) in a similar situation. Those stories helped me keep my head on and my sanity calm, cool, and collected. It showed me options that were available to me from an objective and educated place. From knowing the story, I could modify it to how it applied to my life and then was able to find solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. We as a culture need these stories of our ancestors. Told from the places of experience not idealism. I believe we can shift things but it will require a tremendous amount of work and the willingness to do what has not been done.
