Numerology/Astrology for 5/21/16
5/21/16 is the number 8. The number 8 in the older tarot decks is the Strength card, which is connected to Leo. But in the Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot it is the Adjustment card, which is all about balance. The number 8 is the sign of infinity and if something is balanced it can moved organically for an infinite period of time. I love that Aleister Crowley looked at how the gypsies had taken the tarot cards and moved them around to make it a mystery to understand and that only through learning with a teacher did you fully comprehend the depth and meaning within the tarot. He took the cards and made them astrologically and numerologically correct. In his understanding learning to have strength was fine but strength without balance was weakness. What does it take to turn a strength into something that stands the test of time? The only answer is when something is balanced in many areas, only then can it continue on for extended periods of time. Today, look at whether you are “strong-arming” your way through life or if you need to find a different type of strength? Pushing will only get you so far. Looking for the organic flow and balance that allows your life to move gracefully is more important today. The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio until 2:49 PM EDT, when it enters Sagittarius. A Full Moon occurs this afternoon in the sign of Sagittarius. This is a time of culmination, promise of fulfillment, and heightened emotions. The Gemini Sun encourages you to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades you to use your intuition and to think in a broader manner. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now”. Gemini is quite comfortable in his or her immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stimulates you to venture beyond it. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites you to do. This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and your sense of adventure. The Full Moon illuminates a conflict between logic and intuition/faith. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in your own life. Something has been building inside of you, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that you let it out. Over the coming weeks, you will discover what this means. For now, don’t sit on your feelings. This Full Moon aligns with retrograde Mars so there can be a real desire to master a situation. Watch for where you might get pushy and impulsive. Making too-quick decisions and actions may not be the best choice right now. Impulsive behavior will make others react negatively. This can be an especially revealing time with the Moon full and the Sun and Mars approaching an opposition (exact tomorrow morning). Open up to the possibilities but delay finalizing any plans till later.

Quote
Being on the receiving end of love is wonderful and is what we all long for but your true self is revealed more deeply when you allow the love inside you to expand outward into others. When you love another you discover the well of limitless love that is within you. Loving someone breaks you open. Loving others shows you that love has no boundaries. Loving others connects you to the web of life that sustains and fulfills us all.

Love is the one, single, biggest, source of inspiration and connection on the planet. Love makes us leap out of our narrow reality and take the risk to see from another’s perspective. Love expands us into the limitlessness of human connection and clearly defines for us the realization of energy and that this energy connects us in wondrous ways that we had previously not noticed.
