Poem – The Tides That Wrap Around Necks

Tides twist and turn and wrap around necks.
We are in a time of conflict that is very complex.
People do unspeakable things.
While religions pull them with all their strings.

Mankind never seems to learn.
That denial of truth only makes things burn.
They burn to the ground what they fear to understand.
They torture and murder and become a terrorist band.

They do not understand what their mind refuses to know.
So now bodies become food for the vultures and crows.
Life demands that we find a way.
To learn to listen to more than what leaders say.

It is essential that we learn to live in our heart.
That is how we stop war from tearing us apart.
Deep in the minds of those who hate.
Lies a soul imprisoned that they cannot liberate.

Trapped in the loops of karmic pain.
They have lost the truth and so there is really nothing to gain.
Yet, they fight for a side that keeps them in this loop.
And they follow blindly because they have been duped.

I feel the trap that is set for their soul.
As they will endlessly loop never getting to the goal.
And until the bell of truth rings deep in their core.
Their soul will not be free or know how to soar.
