Blog – Solstice
We are at the time when the sun stands still.
Winter solstice lingers on the window sill.
The candle flickers in the night.
Reminding us that warmth can be found tonight.
Within the darkest darkness there is still light.
It will return but it will be much more than a fortnight.
Inside of us is a seed that waits.
This is a celebration of what is in store from the fates.
Now is the time to let that seed sprout.
In the spring we may find out what this is all about.
We do not understand what our dreams may create.
At the moment, we stand only at a new gate.
As that seed grows our old self dies.
With that death also come the revelation of the lies.
Those things we told ourselves to feel safe and warm.
Now need to be understood so something new can be born.
