This month what jumps out is the Eagle Card. A sacred bird to the Native American tradition and the symbol of our country. The power of this animal comes in the form of a sacred test. It is time to face the fear of the unknown and leap off the old cliffs of our known reality and reclaim the freedom to discover who we really are. This type of challenge will require us to face our fear and embrace that life is not supposed to be safe or have safety nets at all turns and in every moment. We learn to face fear by confronting fear … not by playing it safe and staying in a child mind. This is an animal that reconnects us to the air and the higher mind. Just know that the higher mind likes to play tricks and will come in through strange and curious lessons. The eagle inside each of us looks to make a nest on the highest ground possible. It looks to find those places that clear the air and the heart. It is time to seek higher ground.
Mountain Lion reminds us that there are lessons to be learned around the use and abuse of power. This is a month to stand on your convictions and to lead yourself where your heart takes you. Mountain Lion teaches that when your priority is to make others happy, you end up lying to yourself. This animal shows the power of telling the truth. It matters not if others tell the truth. What matters is that you become constantly aware of your own truth in each moment. The lesson of Mountain Lion is to not be lead down a yellow brick road by a leader that is abusing power. It is the reminder that this is a time to step off the established pathways that others want you to follow and instead, head out across the wild fields and make your own path forward. It is the reminder that sheep follow the familiar paths … to the slaughter! A Mountain Lion always follows his or her own path and does not acquiesce to the patterns or pathways instituted by others. In fact, it seeks solitude rather than conform to the restrictions of a society. It is the reminder that you are here to learn to fight your own battles and to claim your right to exist … your own way.
The Hummingbird is there to show us the beauty in playfully moving with joy and remember that this should be the most powerful constant in your life. Let life and the wonderful hopes and dreams within have a chance to find their own wings and to discover the joy of flight.
We are in a month where there are greater forces attempting to give you signs and signals to a greater reality. You are being opened to a potential that has been hidden until now. You are being reminded that in each step in life you are a part of this earth and that this earth energy is trying to heal your heart and soul.
Yes, many things are going to change. Stay open to those visions as they arise. Take the opportunities presented and leap into those new realities.
The lessons with all these cards are to pay attention to the messages coming in from nature and the divine. They are there to remind you that you are not alone and that a new process is unfolding. Just know that most of it … you will have no control over. But you do have the power to heal yourself. You have the power to step onto your path. You have a responsibility to be all that you can be.
This month is the month of no excuses. You do not need to save anyone from their own karmic path. You are here to give the greatest gift you have to offer while you still have time.
Step away from those trappings of society and embrace a simpler way of being. This is not the time to go numb and need to be mindlessly entertained and brainwashed by the media and lulled into your child-mind. It is time to take actions for your own well-being and to remember that you have a mission and purpose to complete. And that mission is not about what others want. It is not about what others saw in you that they could use and manipulate for their own petty reasons. It is about no longer needing to belong to this reality, but to instead create your own.
This month we begin by telling ourselves the truth. Then refining and honing that truth into something that has value. You have great power within you if you are willing to stop waiting for the world to catch up to your dreams. Live your dreams and become a star in that sky that will inspire others in ways that you cannot yet even comprehend.
