1 + 7 = 8

Today being a number 8 day, makes us look deeper into the things that have been difficult but have made us into who we are. Reflection is necessary at times to see the progress we have made and the changes that have come about from our life experiences.
This can be a day where we feel the need to notice if we are lashing out and the reasons for that. Often it is because we are holding things inside too long, and they begin to fester … only to eventually explode.
There is enough astrological pressure that we are needing to stop and take a pause. I call such days “Mental Health Days”. I wish we had a certain number of “Sick Days” at work and a certain number of “Mental Health Days”.
Let’s be honest! How many of you out there just needed a “Mental Health Day” but called in sick instead?
I am sure most of us have done that at some point. There are even moments when we are in such denial and in overwhelm that we truly can make ourselves feel sick. Only once we stop and allow ourselves to collapse do we notice that we are completely in overwhelm.
The brain tries to keep us going. It can mask things and make them appear as other things. No one wants to look like a “Head Case!” Yet, everyone has moments when the piles of things that need to be done become unbearable.
Today, call in the reserves. Ask for help or call in the gardener or handyman and be willing to pay them for their time. The pressure that can come off our mind and soul is a powerful incentive to make a choice that does not require us to do everything.
When we think that no one can help us, notice if it is because we do not ask for help. Americans are funny this way. We believe we should do it all ourselves. But the truth is that we honor others when we allow them to come in and help us with their knowledge and expertise.
