1 + 7 = 8

Today is the Number 8 brings up deep emotions from our past. It is a process that shows us that we cannot live on the surfaces of life and feel fulfilled. It is in those deep and dark emotions that we discover our own undiscovered selves.

Today, things can bubble up from the past that are seeking integration and understanding. What if we are in a simulation that is one with the divine in each and every moment? What if the divine is inside us and outside us at the same time? If that is true than something divine is attempting to get our attention and allow us to discover things deep within that are essential for our growth into greater understanding and being able to have greater impact in the world.

I love how this number is a figure 8 or the symbol of the infinite. That means that what is above is below and what is below is above. We are human and divine. When we are divine … we are also very human.

In Buddhism, this number is all about the beliefs and traditions that are designed to help us see that the divine moves through everything, darkness and light, negative things and positive things. Because all those things will eventually lead us to a higher awareness if we are willing to embrace them fully and not avoid the lessons.

That is the trick. Many want to avoid all negative realities. But did you ever notice that regardless of how pure one tries to live a life, inevitably there are upsets, conflicts, and challenges that cause us to fall (in moments) into dark and scary places.

And that is the lesson of the number 8. We are here to learn to embrace all that we are. Our spiritual self and our human self, the light and the dark within. Wholeness is not about us loving only the most positive aspects of our being. Wholeness and authenticity come from completely knowing and embracing the gifts that arise from our own darkness inside.

All states of mind and emotion need to be processed. We cannot manifest anything in life if we have not actually managed to take ideas and process them through our body, mind, and spirit. Only once they are completely processed through can we create a matured construct that can positively influence our world.

Too often we generate ideas, but they are not properly processed through all the levels and the end results are not favorable to our world and our reality.

The number 8 is that opportunity to process those bits through … more completely. Today is that day to attempt to understand the constructs that make up our reality and to perhaps protect and help patterns in our reality that do not allow us to create a better world.
