2 + 0 = 2

Today is the number 2, so don’t let external factors get your knickers in a knot. The mind will want to race around and point fingers, looking for someone to blame. Just remember that the mind loves to play lots of games. We are all here to listen to the heart. Even when the mind is so loud that it refused to listen to those whispers of our soul.

We cannot live just within the thoughts of our mind. We have to learn how to balance our beliefs with our core values. The values that others try to impose upon us and that we adapted from a young age in order to fit in, are not our essence.

That is why this life is a journey of self-discovery. We are not seeking truth through the answers of others. We are not seeking truth through the greatest teachings of all time. We are seeking to express and share the greatest truths that we hold within us.

I believe that within each soul are unique and special gems of truth that are silently waiting to awaken.

In order to find those places, we have to put our thoughts and beliefs that kept us protected and feeling self-righteous to the side so that we can discover the magic that is beyond the beliefs of others but buried deep within our own souls.

Today is a moment to practice and put the mind on the shelf.

In meditation, there is a hand position where you place your cupped right hand inside the cupped left hand. Allowing the tips of the thumbs to touch. You are to imagine that you are holding your brain in your lap. That is to allow you to move beyond the mind and into the essence that is within. It allows for the beginning of emptiness. But the mind interferes with the expression of our soul. The mind judges and separates us from our own truths.

Perhaps today is a day to allow “no mind” to have some time in our life. Allow the emptiness to expand us beyond our safety nets and the beliefs that are limiting us.

We are so much more than we can currently comprehend. Why not take a moment and let expansion happen through learning to empty our thoughts out and see what has been hiding underneath.
