Today is the number 8 and it will be a personal challenge to not let things in this moment in history get to you. This is a day to get outside and breathe deeply. It is a day to go exercise and get some cardio to kick in some endorphins. Do what is necessary to help us navigate each moment in a way that allows us to move from a compassionate heart rather than a defensive one.

Look past the patterns that tear down the heart. Embrace compassion and allow it to bring in a new potential and insight. The pains in our life are there to open us to a greater love. A love that cares for not just ourselves but all of life.

If we are given everything without needing to learn to strive and work towards something, we only develop the feelings of arrogance and entitlement. And that is not the sort of person that anyone really wants to be around.

Approachable and kind souls have walked the most difficult of paths. They learned the value of caring and compassion over the human fetish of acquiring fame, money, or power.

Because in the end we all want to love and appreciate who and what we have become. We want to live a life that has learned through the regrets. We want to become a person that understand that the greatest suffering happens when we actively make choices that harm others for our own selfish needs.

And then we make a conscious turn to not fall into those places … ever again.
