1 + 1 + 8 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 5 = 18
1 + 8 = 9

Today is the number 9 and we long for a moment to reflect on all that we have accomplished in our lives up to this point. Even when things are incomplete, it is important to recognize what we have managed to accomplish in this messy process of life.

Each of us is a work in progress. Each of us needs moments where we push and moments when we just stop fighting the river and allow life to show us the flow and the growth that it intends for us.

If we honestly reflect on our life, we will see the constant and at times invisible hand that the universe has over us. We are never really alone. We are being constantly prompted and directed to move in different directions. Sometimes we think it is all our idea. But as I am older and wiser I see that there are many forces at work to support me in growth and movement that I often could not or did not see.

It is interesting how those that have become enlightened always say that once they were enlightened … they realized they always were. That is not meant as an arrogant statement. It is meant to inspire us to see that there is always a part of us that is fully present in each and every moment and that part is always watching our human self as it moves through the throws of the emotional chaos that is a part of being on this planet.

It is a lesson to notice what we tend to pay attention to. Today, rather than listen to the conflagrations of our emotional body or our wounding, why not pay attention to that higher self that is with us … in each and every moment. From that higher self, we see that all choices lead us on the paths that will allow our soul to grow and expand, we see that all choices are a part of us learning to flow with the many different energetic and physical expressions of this human form, and we learn that all choices will eventually lead us home.
