Poem – Evil Is Created

I do not believe that life has an evil intent.
I believe that mankind takes things of discontent.

And twists them around in their mind.
The more that is done the more they become unkind.

I believe that evil is created.
By those that were abused, assaulted, and hated.

The goodness inside was torn apart.
And that is where evil becomes a seed that can start.

Evil is grown when a soul sees that goodness will not win.
Then the ego takes control and learns to justify any sin.

That is why we live in such a convoluted place.
Where arrogance is respected over kindness and grace.

It takes much more consciousness and energy to be kind.
It takes no awareness for someone to lose their mind.

That is why there are always fewer souls.
Who know that love and kindness is the only goal.

Because in a world where we see evil win every day.
It takes great courage to hold such a thing at bay.

And yet, all the great saints, gurus, and teachers.
Share that love they feel … to all of god’s creatures.

The path to enlightenment has never been wealth and fame.
The desire to do good never comes with intentional gain.

When one knows that love and kindness are the path.
It is easy to recognize evil hiding in a sociopath.

But good souls know that they often walk their path alone.
Younger souls admire powerful egos looking down from a throne.

Great souls know that evil is in this place.
It hides in many forms and can be seen in a face.

Those that walk the paths that lead beyond the karma game.
Have no ego that seeks to be in any “hall of fame.”
