Poem – I Am A Life That Is Forever Young

I remember flying so free.

Up on a stage where the lights were all me.

I can feel that place now even though I am old.
I still am a force … who has stories to be told.

Life is a dance that is forever young.
Life is a song that will forever be sung.

My voice is a light that some cannot see.
My heart is a refuge where some can finally be.

I look at this life and I am so blessed and alive.
I am proud of my soul that took that deep dive.

I did what I could in the moments that came.
I was willing to speak the truth and forever proclaim.

Even now as I watch as the world remolds.
I know this moment is how a new story unfolds.

And I will be the light until this body is done.
Because I am a life that is forever young.
