Poem – My Only Goal

Liars will find no room in my heart.
I know what is right and where to start.

Liars will never find any peace.
Their noise and chaos will never cease.

That is why I listen to the quiet inside my soul.
I know that nature holds the answers and my goal.

I will protect what I can in a crazed world.
I will always hold the flag of truth unfurled.

The world is continuing to spin out of control.
It is a story so very ancient and so very old.

That is why I back away from those that refuse to see.
I always look to the consequences as they last for eternity.

Tomorrow will be another beautiful day.
I will open my eyes and witness another grand display.

Those that play the games with others’ lives.
Do not realize that they are in for a big surprise.

But I will not watch their pattern become a red tide.
My only job is to be a love that does not divide.

I know how to do that and keep my heart filled and clear.
I know that some will lash out with hate while others cheer.

But I will take my bag of wet cob into the meadows clear.
Because there are souls on the land like the baby deer.

That call to my heart and they know deep in my soul.
That I am here to help and that is my only goal.
