Poem – The Olympics

I am a gymnast flying high.
Reminding that gravity could be a lie.

The Olympics show the best of mankind.
Striving to achieve the powerful and sublime.

With each event we feel their heart.
It matters not if they win or depart.

Because what we know what it takes to just be there.
It is a monumental feat beyond compare.

So, here’s to the warriors that put so much effort into play.
And know that history records their efforts on this day.

Because as long as mankind continues to be.
They have made their mark in Olympic history.
