Suzanne Wagner’s Poem – Silent Heroes

There are always silent heroes who know the truth.
They stand in the wings watching the hateful uncouth.

We cannot stop what is yet to come.
But we can learn to hold our ground and never to run.

There are millions of angels that stand at our back.
They know what it takes to stay loving and not attack.

Even when we know what is yet to come.
Will be lessons learned … for the old and the young.

Courage is a word that means one will not run away.
When everywhere you turn there are lies that dismay.

This is a moment when we know that while we will not fight.
We can silently stand up for what we know is right.

There are those that think they are very brave.
But it is not accurate when one seeks to enslave.

While there are those that see not what they do.
That does not mean that karma will not find them too.
