Poem – Acceptance and Trust

While I listen to the songs inside my soul.

I recognize that most of them are very old.

I hear the songs of times gone by.

I hear the songs of so many that have cried.

But in hearing those songs, they touch something inside.

Places that they felt but failed even when they tried.

We all will have moments where we find ourselves alone.

And life makes us feel disconnected from our home.

But as we discover that we are not without hope.

We learn a new strategy in order to cope.

Then what was a failure becomes a success.

And that is how we find acceptance and rest.
