Poem – Are Dreams and the Stories in our Mind Real?

Do we exist in the dreams, myths, and stories of our minds?
Are we living in various, magical dimensions and times?
Do we give life to those dreams?
Or are we consistently more than it seems?

Do those dreams actually come alive because we believe?
Are we living in the places that we can conceive?
Perhaps our longing to become more than we are.
Allows us to reach beyond this reality very far.

And as I dance through the stories in my mind,
I find more courage and am willing to climb.
The fear that limits and causes so much pain,
Is faced and turned into someone willing to gain.

Life offers choices that we cannot refuse.
Some dreams offer more substance, that our soul can use.
Tonight I will follow an ancient course.
One that knows how to be brave and endorse.

Those precious moments that can leap through time.
So that this life becomes more than a pantomime.
In that place we will remember what we knew.
When we were fearless, free, and willing to breakthrough.
