Poem – Let Our Voices Rise

Amidst the smoke-filled air, fires ablaze,

A world in turmoil, nature appears in a desperate phase.

The people awaken, their eyes now wide,

To the problems that loom, can no longer hide.

Climate change, a specter haunting our future days,

Unleashing havoc in countless, relentless ways.

A hurricane, uninvited, graces our continental the shore,

Southern California, unprepared like never before.

A deluge descends, a year’s worth of rain,

In just one day, nature roars its pain.

Yet still, the question lingers in the air,

What will it take for leaders to truly care?

For humanity to rise, united and strong,

To force the change that’s been delayed for too long.

To see beyond the tales we’re being fed,

And take actions for the greater good instead.

Let us not be swayed by empty words,

But seek the truth, like soaring birds.

For it is in our hands, the power to ignite,

A revolution of hearts, a righteous fight.

Together we stand, against the storms we’ll face,

For a future where harmony and nature unite in grace.

Let us awaken, let our voices rise,

And shape a world where hope never dies.
