Poem – Permission to be at Peace

Do you have permission to be at peace?
Do you want to live a life of stress or ease?
Life will always bring another battle.
Unless you want to follow the herd like cattle.
I prefer to sit by the ocean and learn to wait.
For those magic moments that transcend hate.
I have loved the excitement in this life.
But I think now is the time to walk away from strife.
Those that wish to come my way.

Know that smiles and laughter have a greater sway.

That is why they are still my friends.

And will be with me until the very end.
