Poem – Scotland

I am on my way to the Scottish lands.
A place where I can put my feet in English sands.

A place where brave souls stood their ground.
A place where magic and druids did astound.

I can’t wait to walk in the circles of stones.
I can’t wait to remember times that this was my home.

I want to be a part of the joys and the pain.
I want to remember my conviction even when there was no gain.

Inside of me … is a powerful soul.
One that knew that fully living was the goal.

And as I touch upon these ancient and sacred lands.
I hope to find another place and way to stand.

Times can be tough, but life must go on.
Life has many sounds that carry many songs.

Those songs are of hope for a brighter day.

One where freedom wins over dismay.
