Poem – Let Your Fire Within Burn So Bright

Poem – Let Your Fire Within Burn So Bright

I was born with fiery red hair, bold and bright,

But as I grew, karma’s weight I did invite.

My locks transformed from red to auburn,

As my inner flame tried to become more modern.

Life’s struggles tried to put out my fire,

And others sought to make me feel small and dire.

But within me, that spark began to grow,

And from oppression, a star did glow.

Though my hair was not the red of old,

A white-hot flame within me did unfold.

Something new was born that day,

My heart’s passion never dimmed or felt dismay.

The heart is a fire that keeps the soul alight,

It can smolder, hidden, and bide it’s time to ignite.

But once it bursts forth, the world will see,

That the fire inside intends to be free.

No permission is asked, for none will be given,

Not waiting for others’ decree, my heart has risen.

I did not come to bow or merely agree,

But to be a light for those willing to see.

I came to show the path for the afraid and unsteady,

So let your eyes see the lights that shine so steady.

Let their fire bring your heart into alignment,

Then the world will hold more refinement.

With open hearts and much more grace,

The world can become a better place.

So let the fire within you burn so bright,

And join me in spreading its unyielding light.
