Poem – Wolf Moon
Emotions run high in the January Wolf Moon.
We want to express, reconnect, and attune.
We are a part of a pack whether we know it or not.
We are wild, free, and will refuse to get caught.
The Wolf Moon calls out to those parts that are free.
It knows that the wind, the stars, and even the tree.
Are a part of its pack, a part of this land.
Wolfs do not follow all trails that others have planned.
They walk alone, seeking their own space.
They walk away … in order to find their own place.
They take a risk and are not afraid to be alone.
They would prefer solitude than to listen or condone.
Within the silence, they can find their own thoughts.
Within the stillness, they seek their own Camelot.
A wolf is not afraid of the land.
It is the top predator and knows what it commands.
Run with that wolf that you have inside.
She is not waiting, nor is she willing to hide.
She waits that the edge of the forest, watching you.
She waits for your own howl to arise and debut.
Then she knows you are ready to run with the pack.
And she will show you how to finally get back on track.
