Poem – Hate
Hate is a drug that sucks you in.
Hate is a belief that justifies sin.
Hate is a poison that slowly kills all it touches.
Hate does not allow one to see their own crutches.
Hate just knows how to cripple the soul.
Hate is a way to have power that one stole.
Hate is a direction that will always pull you down.
Hate turns all smiles into a frown.
Hate is a rut that tries to never let the mind go.
Hate is a fist that believes someone deserves its blow.
Hate is an excuse when the mind cannot see.
Hate is the justification to not let someone just be.
Hate is a power that can consume your soul.
Hate is the agenda of the powerful and the bold.
Hate is a song on the devils’ lips.
Hate is a choice that creates an apocalypse.
Hate allows you to point the finger when you feel mad.
Hate is an avoidance of when you feel hurt and sad.
Hate arises when our deepest desires go unfulfilled.
Hate is the toxin when love and fear are distilled.
Hate is a burden you never want to carry alone.
Hate is a weight that can turn your soul into a stone.
Hate is the excuse for intolerance and denied fear.
Hate has an agenda and is an engineer.
Hate wants to make the problems about others not ourselves.
Hate dislikes ideas that exist on bookshelves.
I personally, look at those thoughts that intend to hate.
And I know that they hide something about me behind their gate.
If we could have a world that teaches compassion over hate.
We might be able to actually make humanity into something great.
