Suzanne Wagner’s Beltane Meditation

 

 

Take a moment to pay attention to your breath.

Notice that as you become mindful of that breath, it changes, deepens and expands.

Feel the warmth of the fire within you being and as you breath, give that fire more air so that it slowly begins to burn brighter and hotter. See that fire expand beyond your body and into the energy that surrounds you. Then let that fire become so bright that it begins to impact others as it touches, merges, invites, and gives permission for others to also find that fire and brightness within.

Beltane is a celebration of the merging of the Divine Feminine with the Divine Masculine. Within all of us is both the masculine and feminine. We live in a world of duality and we ourselves are the embodiment of that duality.

Wholeness comes from acceptance and love of all that we have been, all that we are, and all that we intend to become.

Notice your feminine side and allow it to have center stage for a moment. Allow the gloriousness of your inner beauty to shine forth unencumbered by your mind or old beliefs.

Now, notice your masculine side. See it as a protection for the feminine and the part that knows how to take the intuitive impulses from the feminine and turn them into various forms of manifestation in the real world. Take this moment to honor and appreciate your masculine side and allow that to breathe more depth and power back into your life.

See your feminine and masculine sides sitting opposite with the Beltane fire burning brightly in the center.

Allow that fire to be a magnet that attracts to it and pulls in all the darkness and fears in the world and all the insecurities and self-doubt that you also might be holding. Just allow that fire to draw those things into its flames and notice that there is no need to label them or even understand them. Just trust the wisdom of the flames to transform them into something that will be of better use to your soul that is now embracing this moment of radical change.

As this celebratory fire burns the old away, see this fire return to you … your passion. It is with this passion that we will find new ways to move our power positively and with great compassion.

Notice if you have been moving your energy from your feminine side more. If that is the case, you might have been giving too much of yourself away. You might not have known how to do healthy boundaries, and you might have felt as if your creativity was lacking juice and energy.

That is because without the balance of the masculine being empowered within our bodies, we will allow others to take advantage because we did not have clear boundaries.

It is the masculine that gives our feminine more strength … as its nature is protective. It is the direction of masculine energy that enhances our feminine creative self. He gives structure to our creative flow.

Allow your masculine to come and give your feminine what it has been lacking. Feel that energy bring passion and power back into your being and feel how your courage is enhanced, and your intuition becomes calmer and more accepting.

Notice that now, that the fire of Beltane is floating with your masculine and feminine connected to that fire with an energy band that is reaching from the center of the fire out to both. Feel the pulsing of the fire as if it has its own heartbeat. Allow the fire to connect the creative depth of your feminine side to the power and direction of your masculine side.

And see both of them become brighter and more fully activated.

Now from this new place of acceptance and balance allow an idea to drop like a seed out of the creative fires and into the hands of both your masculine and feminine. Each side has its own dreams and intentions but desires to benefit from the enhanced energies of the other.

Take a look at the seed in the feminine sides hand. What does this seed represent? What is this seeds intention for your life this year and perhaps beyond.

What does this seed need from your masculine side to give it more strength and life force for it to really bloom? Then see that energy pulsing over through the fire from your masculine side and see that energy surround that seed enlivening it and enhancing it.

As that power expands this seeds potential, notice what that intention evolves into. Then allow that seed to melt into the feminine hand and let the feminine give it life. See the light from that seed burst forth from your hand and connect to all those that share that same dream and intention. And realize that you do not have to do it alone.

Now, take a look at the seed that is in the masculine’s hand. What does this seed represent? What is this seeds intention for your life this year and perhaps beyond.

What does this seed need from your feminine side to give it more creative expression and excitement for it to really bloom? Then see that energy pulsing over through the fire from your feminine side and see that energy surround that seed enlivening it and enhancing it.

As that power expands this seeds potential, notice what that intention evolves into. Then allow that seed to melt into the masculine hand and let your masculine side give it inspiration. See the light from that seed burst forth from your hand and connect to all those that share that same dream and intention. And realize that you do not have to do it alone.

In this new space of integration, you become aware that your masculine and feminine sides have become one. And it is you that is now sitting in the center of the fire. You have become the passion and the purpose. You are the creative fire and the light of inspiration. You are whole.

Now, spread your arms wide and see that the seed from your feminine side is a light bursting from your left hand. And the seed that is from your masculine side is a light bursting from your right hand.

See how both of these intentions actually connect and can enhance each other. Become aware that these separate but joined forces of power are expanding out your palms and creating a swirling vortex above your head and that energy is merging and pouring down into your crown chakra and clearing and altering your chakras like a waterfall of potential and peace.

Feel that energy move all the way through your body and deep into the earth. Feel how your union becomes a powerful force of energy that is giving back to the earth and all living things.

This is the intention of Beltane.

Now, gently bring yourselves back into this room, into this moment, and into your body. Bring that intention with you and know that you are ready to embark on a new pathway from this moment forward.
