Poem – Life and Death

I have learned so much about life and death.
Life is a gift that comes with breath.

Life is a hope when all is lost.
Life is worth every and all costs.

Life is the joy of being fully here.
Life is when you hold someone near.

Life is a song that is lifted up to the sky.
Life is healing when everything seemed a lie.

Life seeks those that have compassion and care.
Life does not want to be left alone on the stair.

Life knows that sharing love is the way.
Life holds others close even when they are far away.

Life knows that we are all connected even when we disagree.
Life is the inspirations of endless possibility.

Death is a doorway to take us back home.
Death is not an ending but an invitation for our soul to roam.

Death is the reminder that all things will eventually end.
Death is not a monster but actually a best friend.

Death is the hand that leads one out of pain.
Death is the angel that waits even when they have nothing to gain.

Death is patient and exists beyond time.
Death is there to help us out of life’s long climb.

Life and death are actually one.
Two sides of a door for everyone.

The side of life guides us through the door to be here now.
The side of death gives permission to be done and to allow.

Life is the invitation to try dancing in this domain.
Death is the exit door when there is nothing more one can attain.
