Astrology for 1/20/2024

Here we are! The beginning of a beautiful shift out of the serious and hard edges of Pluto in Capricorn and instead moving into the more magical place of Pluto in Aquarius.
This is a special day; both the Sun and Pluto will move out of Capricorn and into Aquarius this morning.
We have been dealing with the intense dance of these powerful forces at play and tugging us to move out of old places. This has been requiring us to be so very persistent and much more resourceful in our approach.
On one level we have all been learning how to slow down and to not rush ahead without clearly and calmly thinking things through. Hopefully we have all learned that self-mastery requires each of us to stay focused and to pay closer attention to the details. For many of us the universe created a series of crises to get us to see that we needed to make some major changes. Hopefully you all have embraced those changes and allowed yourself the graceful exploration of who you could become if you allowed yourself to listen to what your body, and soul need over your mind.
Life requires us to adapt and change and this astrology has had to force our hands in many ways. If you have embraced these new responsibilities, then you have been seeing some very radical improvements in your health and well-being. If not, this shift could bring up patterns of fear, anxiety, and extreme thinking. We are here to learn how to recycle the old and update things into new forms that might weather the future storms better.
On many levels we have been plowing our old field, putting the old methods back into the ground and paving a way for something new to come to us.
With the Sun in Aquarius till February 18^th, we are looking for things that are more original and unusual. We want to embrace new ways to make our world better. There could be many new insights coming over the next few months that may surprise us, shock us, and then force us to deal with reality in a very new way. What is clear is that we no longer find the rigid structures of Capricorn adequate for what is currently needed. We want more freedom, but the old requirements of safety are not enough to justify the severe constriction that now feels like a choke hold designed to control us rather than serve the greater good.
Some may see this shift as permission to lash out at those they believe have wronged them.
But Pluto in Aquarius intends to drastically shift our social structures and move our politics towards major reformations over the next 20 years. As Pluto drops in for a longer haul into Aquarius till Sept 1^st, 2024, expect shockingly intense and unusual things unfold over the next many months. The focus will be on issues of power and control. What is clear is that we will continue to lean towards those that want to make a difference in our world and make life better for all. We will want the scientific minds to lead us into this new reality. We will want an overhaul to society as we know it. And we will be drawn to those that make this world better for everyone and everything.
