Astrology for August 23, 2024

The Moon in Aries is fired up and ready to rock and roll. Good thing that it will shift into Taurus this evening and calm down some of the energies that are heating up in our world. A little grounding never hurt anyone. Especially during this moment in time. Calm minds need to hold the reins of these horses and direct them constructively because there are leaders that will want to unleash forces of hate and destruction to cause mayhem and conflict rather than reform and rational conversations.

Remember, to walk away from anyone and everyone that refuses to listen to reason or who what to just pick a fight.

With Mercury still in a retrograde and then trining to Chiron, only to sextile to Mars later today, know that we need to reflect on our actions and be alert to what is unfolding all around us. The potential triggers that this energy can cause may bring up things from our past that are now clearly unresolved. Learn to observe the past without acting out from those places of heightened emotional expression. I know it is going to be hard but you will have to do it if you are to retain places of objective sanity over the next many months.

At least we are inspired to express our thoughts and feelings in more clear and concise ways. We are learning … though at times it feels grueling and exhausting. We feel pulled in directions that do not seem to reach a conclusion that will stick. Everything keeps feeling in flux and you might be feeling very tired about how this is going. But see that you are making incremental steps and that the lesson is to trust the process rather than you current experience.

What is clear is that we are being asked to embrace the fact that what lies ahead is going to require tremendous effort from us and that can be very scary on one level and daunting on another. You might question if you have what it takes to keep going? But do you really have a choice? Not really! Life is going to demand that you reach down into your core and discover who and what you are that has been lying dormant or waiting to see if you have the courage to grasp that powers potential.

Focus improves but is because of that fire inside that has been unleashed and is now unwilling to go back into the shadows.

At least there is a playful quality to that focus because of Mercury and Venus semi-sextiling. Though that pointed attention to things can come out as sarcastic and slightly barbed. Let’s just say that not everyone is going to enjoy our humor. And that is because our voice today had a bite and an honesty that can be shocking to those drowning in hate.

Understanding comes only from honest conversations and interactions. Those that cannot be honest with themselves and others will find that most will not want to engage with them as most sane people see it as a waste of energy.
