Astrology for July 2, 2024

The Moon will shift out of stable Taurus and into inquisitive Gemini this morning. Social events draw our interest, and we are curious about both sides of situations. This helps us find ways to explain and express what we are feeling to others. Our mind feels more adaptable and curious. That may cause us to bounce from one idea to the next or one project to the next but at least it is interesting.
The big news it that Neptune in Pisces appears to go still in the sky and turns retrograde till December 7^th. I know many of us have been emotionally strained for a long period of time and this will muddy the water just like an ocean current shifting positions. Clarity is not easily found and making decisions when that is happening is more than a little aggravating. If you feel uncertain and indecisive, you are not alone. Try to be open and just go with this new flow. Eventually all things will right themselves. But it will take time.
Mercury moves out of Cancer and into Leo. As it trines to Neptune, there are many complicated feelings and ideas that can color our world. There are things that we grasp onto firmly and then can become a powerful sail on our ship giving us greater insight and perspective, power and momentum. This is a great day for writing down what you are feeling and moving in the direction that is more self-empowering. Mercury will be in Leo until the 25^th of this month and ultimately it will give us the desire to move and speak up more. And we feel more comfortable in allowing ourselves to relay our insights to others. We just need to remember to stay flexible during this time.
Things may not pan out the way we think.
There is a trine between Saturn and Venus. Seems we need to express love in a much more practical way and in ways that tangibly make a difference for others. This is a reminder that we want love to be consistent. We want love to be something that we can depend upon and feel secure with. This aspect does not put us in the mood to just “hook up”. Instead, we want someone who is more mature and is willing to be responsible and stable.
We also feel as if the little things matter more than normal. When we feel loved, responsibilities do not feel hard. We embrace our duties with compassion and understanding.
We are preparing for Pluto to oppose Mercury tomorrow. As we lead into that aspect, today, we might feel as if there are tensions building up. Don’t let your mind’s desire to take things to excess to ruin a perfectly good day. Put suspicions to the side. However, this is not the day to share your secrets with someone new. Respect needs to be earned. If there happens to be some sort of a push/pull you might notice that there could be a few power struggles that surface. That may not be the worst thing. Sometimes we need to bump heads in order to flush out what is really important to us and to figure out how to share it.
