What causes the negativity in life? To me the answer is suffering. What causes suffering is hate. What causes hate is past wounding. Take a look at the things that you hate. How are those things connected to a past experience where you were badly hurt and wounded? Then take responsibility for healing that wound. Avoiding that painful place will not heal it. Universally we are being asked to take responsibility for our past wounds and to actively take the time (which we have in spades at the moment) to heal it. Blaming others will not heal it. That blame is why we are presently having this particular global circumstance. Without responsibility for the actions of all of humanity, past and present, we will be doomed to repeat these patterns historically again and again. I know that I want to make a major trajectory shift in this world. I want to be a part of shift. And I want to help as many as possible also make that shift. In that way, I hope to take this intense fear and negativity (in this world) and turn it into a moment of transcended awakening.

Astrology Today
On Friday, Venus moves into Gemini until early August. Venus will also go retrograde May 13-June 24. Throughout the summer there are a lot of retrogrades and it is going to give us a lot of time to review and reflect on many very important things in our life. Start now to consider the issues about your relationships and finances because you are going to need to make some big choices and decisions coming up. Best to be prepared. Gemini ignites your curiosity. It is time to explore new options. It is time to refine your thoughts to work with your core values. While affections are easy to create under this circumstance such relationships can be fickle and lack longevity.
In the evening Mercury lines up with Neptune. It is a perfect time for deep romantic conversations, great music and movies, and activities that support your intuition. Mysticism is a doorway to discover the parts of yourself that you have forgot. This alignment can help ease the tension and release the mind. Focus on problem solving. Make as many inspirational and inspired things that you can.

Quote
I believe we have the power to change.
I believe civilization can rearrange.
I know that life demands we correct the lies.
I know nature demands we hear their cries.
Does humanity really care.
In this time where false words are laid bare.
Take care of your heart by caring for this land.
Take care of your soul by making a demand.
Demand for change that serves us all.
Demand our leaders have some where-withal.
Enough with the lies and intentional neglect.
Enough with the fear and lack of respect.
I believe power is not given but earned.
I believe in those that care and are concerned.
Tomorrow I ask you to never forget.
Remember the fear and the upset.
Do not allow this moment to pass.
Without a willingness to surpass.
It is time to grow beyond.
It is time for us to respond.

I have lived through the New York Black Out in 1977. I was a dancer at the School of American Ballet and I remember baby-sitting on the 22nd floor of a skyscraper when the blackout happened. All the lights went out and it was pitch dark inside a towering skyscraper. I looked out and saw that the entire city was black and I was terrified. I did not know what to do. The doors are electrically and mechanically locked and used electricity to open. I wondered if the parents of the child could actually get back into the building. I went out on the balcony and could hear people on the streets talking and people becoming doormen to allow residents into the building. When the parents got home, I found that on each floor someone had put candles on the landing so you could see what floor it was. It was very helpful but also very spooky. Once I got on the street I fell in love again with the New Yorkers in our area. They were being kind. Cutting candles and sharing them with others. The joke was, “Can I have a flic of your Bic?” Meaning their “Bic” lighter. We were all sitting on the steps when someone came past with ice cream cones and when we asked where they got them they said the restaurants were giving away things that were going to spoil in their freezer. So off we went on the adventure for ice cream and sure enough, “O’Neal’s Restaurant at Lincoln Center was giving away free ice cream. People were out and laughing, eating ice cream. Sharing stories and being very neighborly. We wandered back to our apartment building and decided to go in and upstairs, and as I was getting ready for bed the guns started going off. Then it was followed by the sirens and more guns going off. It was quite frightening. Because such sounds bounce off the buildings and narrow streets and seem right on top of you and very close. The next day when we went out we realized that people were trying to steal out of the ATM’s at the banks. But other than that first night the New Yorkers were very civilized and helpful. It was a long 3 days but one filled with adventure and connecting with others in a deeper level without the hustle and bustle of the crazy busy world of New York City.
While we are being asked to stretch in ways that are unfamiliar and to some perhaps frightening, this is just one moment in time. One that you can tell stories about in your future. What will your story be? I hope it is one of connection, sharing, love, laughter, and concern for your fellow man. Your own personal mythology is happening. Be a brave and loving character in that story.
