Astrology for Today 1/5/2023
Today is a day when we appreciate our home, because the Moon shifts out of Gemini this morning and into Cancer. Plan some yummy cooking and share those things that matter the most with those you love.
We are still feeling the retrograde of Mars and Mercury. It creates a feeling that things just refuse to move easily in any direction for another week or so. Don’t get discouraged. Things are going to shift. And when they do … they might be very dramatic.
In astrology we can see the patterns that wind up and spring loose. But exactly how that will look in the external world is always a guessing game.
While these two planets always feel deeply personal to us and more challenging. We also need to remember that Uranus is going to shift out of retrograde next week and that will add to the bumps in the road. Three planets trying to undo the reverse gear they have been riding and heading forward may feel grindy. It feels, as if we are being dragged along the bottom of the sand bank as these three waves start to tug at us in many directions.
We are setting the stage for a very big shift happening in March and all this is preparation to that end.
What we are feeling now is the winds that pick up before the storms of Saturn and Pluto shifting signs.
These shifts will go backwards and forwards until and through parts of 2024. We will have a long time to ponder our next steps and decide what we are going to need to adjust. What is clear is that we are going to need to change very big things.
The inner and outer work is going to be extensive, and this month is the time to think about it and collect pieces that will be necessary for a rapidly changing future.
Uranus and the Sun trine and that is giving us hints at what we are going to need to embrace this year.
From this trine’s angle of perception, things seem doable and appealing. They also warn us that stepping back from certain habits that are toxic will need to be started now. It seems we have outgrown some aspects and it is time to let go and allow those old perspectives to evolve and show us a new way.
