This number 8 reflects the emotional tension that is building up globally. Things really come to a head today and tomorrow. Expect the unexpected and know that for many it will bring up a lot of grief and sorrow.
We cannot hide from the insanity of the world.
We cannot hide from addressing the dysfunction of human nature.
But we can reach out of the boxes of security and safety that we have built around our innocent selves to protect them. Even when we have protected specific parts of our being, that does not mean that certain internal parts are not wounded and in despair. After all, we protected them for a reason.
Being alive is about learning to cope with all the complex emotions of our human condition. Grief is one that most would prefer to avoid. But grief can motivate even the most recalcitrant to finally make better decisions. I wish that terrible things did not need to happen in order for good to bring those in distortion and denial into alignment with the greater good. But that is how things move in life. Sometimes we have to be so miserable that we finally decide to make a radical change and recognize that many of our past choices have only caused more suffering. That is when we realize that we are causing our own upset and pain. And it is not about others changing but about taking responsibility for us to change.
