In Yogic Numerology, the number 5 is the number of earth, the physical world, our body, and all tools of healing. As it is the number that asks us to walk the path in front of us, today, feels like we have come to a fork in the road. We feel confronted with a decision and we are unsure as to which path to take. Often in life we are asked to make a choice without knowing all the options or being able to see clearly the path ahead. Today, feels like that day. Know that in this life we will get all the lessons that we signed up for during our “earth-walk.” The only thing we actually have to choose … is which lessons we seem to be willing to do next.
Learn to not be afraid of what lies ahead. All paths lead to more wholeness and I have never found that when anyone embarks on a healing process that they find out that they are a terrible person.
What we often find is that we have made up stories to complicated situations that are not always true. What we find in the healing journey is that we are a good person caught up in terrible circumstances and that sometimes we made choices that make thing worse or cause us to contract. And we recognized that those that did seemingly terrible things to us were often unconscious that they hurt us or that they were acting out from the defensive patterns of their own wounding.
Sometimes we have to learn to take a path and allow it to reveal what we did not see or understand. Uncovering the truth from trauma is often difficult and scary to go back into. But sometimes that is the only way to reveal the flaw in our thinking. It can be the only way to retrieve our wounded self and give him or her a doorway into a more open space where they can breathe and recover what they believed was lost. The best parts within us are never gone. But they are often hidden in the dark closets and in the basements of our subconscious to keep them safe. Since we put them there to protect them, it is up to us to remember where we put those keys and let them back out into the loving care and belonging that they deserve.
