Numerology/Astrology for 5/6/21

5/6/21 is the number = 16

Add the 5 + 6 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 1 = 16. 1 + 6 = 7.

The Number 7 brings more structure into a massively changing world. It will require us to use our minds to adapt and become more flexible—more than ever before. There is a massive amount of resistance and fear to the obvious and necessary changes that are now moving. Because of the stagnation of the past many years, the changes are now going to come in a rapid-fire way for everyone. There will be no other options, as time has run out. It will be interesting to see how those most trapped in old ideals will cope with these shifts.

It will probably feel as if they have a tremendous loss of control. Something that some were intentionally manipulating current circumstances to avoid.

The truth is simple.

We have to approach things in a very different way.

We must use our technology more wisely. We will have to create systems to keep our freedoms safe. We still have a lot of growing up to do.

Astrology Today

Today seems smooth and flowing. Things are aligning enough that there is less pressure, and for that, we are all grateful.

Venus and Pluto are reflecting positively off each other, and there is a desire to “share” more than “scare” for this moment. We want to enjoy this life and move towards appreciating things and people.

Those things that give life meaning seem right in front of us and easier to appreciate. Our focus seems more precise and valuable.

We have a strength-building up inside that is gaining in power and clarity.

Mercury is quintile to Neptune, and when we combine that with the Pisces Moon, spiritual expansion and increased intuitive knowing are all a part of this significant shift in consciousness.

Imagination and compassion are all a part of this next phase of development for life on this planet. Differences, separation, and boundaries evaporate in the continued growth of astrology towards a more peaceful and co-existent reality.

Plans, conclusions, and possibilities are growing and evolving.

Confrontation can arise because, whether anyone likes it or not, a lot of very rapid change is on the menu for the next decade.

Denial will no longer work.

Avoidance is seen as childish and petulant.

Distortions and lies will be viewed as temper tantrums of a miserable soul.

Those that can dream of a better reality are much bigger than those stuck in fear. Very soon, we will see whether each of us can either walk through the doors, get dragged through the doors, or get left behind. Adaption is what keeps life flowing.

Inability to adapt will continue to have some leave the planet.

Quote

We stand on a fault line through no fault of our own.

We stand on the choices that others did condone.

Do you stand for the continuation of what we have now?

Or do you stand behind your ancestors that did not allow?

I will not let the efforts of the past go to waste.

I will not allow the good to be displaced.

I will yell at the top of my lungs.

I will repair these ancient ladders rungs.

I will stand only for what serves the greater good.

I refuse to die without saying that I stood.

Stood up for a world that was collapsing all around.

Stood up for principles when others knocked them down.

Stood for the truth when others choked out a lie to not rock the boat.

Stood up for what was right when others wanted to gloat.

I have not always been brave, but I am not able to lie.

But I have been able to know the difference between a demon and an ally.

Blog

For some reason, I was reflecting on a beautiful bright pink dress that I bought when I was a dancer in Santa Fe around 1984.

I think I am nostalgically reflecting on that dress because it was so well made, and the fabric was lush and hardy.

These days, even when you buy something, the fabrics break down within a year. They “pill” and lose their shape. They feel cheap and unremarkable. Common seems to be the theme even in designer clothes.

It is as if everything in the clothing industry is made so inexpensively (and obviously from foreign countries). Even the fabric-making companies have left this country in droves, and now clothes just don’t have that same feeling as before.

I buy things online and even online, and when they arrive, they do not look anything like what they advertise.

It is tremendously disappointing.

But that dress from Santa Fe was very expensive at that time. It was $120, which was a lot of money when my paycheck was only $380 per week as a dancer back then.

But it was worth it. The fabric was strong, and the color was fabulous. It had complex pleating, which we never see anymore. It fit like a dream (again, something that doesn’t happen anymore).

I wish for the days when America made the fabrics.

I wish for the days when “cheap” was not considered acceptable.

I wish for the days when I could put something on and feel beautiful and knew that I could keep that dress for decades.

And I did keep some of them for decades.

But as with all things, the universe asks us to let things go and surrender them up to a universe that is constantly birthing and decaying things.

A dear friend asked to borrow the dress for an event. I was more than willing to allow her to use the dress. But I forgot to tell her that it needed to be dry cleaned. Again, just another thing that has gone by the wayside in favor of “throwaway” clothes.

Out of kindness and courtesy, she washed it in hot water, and the fabric color faded away. The brilliance was gone and with it the beauty and wonder. So I gave the dress away to another, who loved that more faded look.

It was still an amazingly well-made dress, but clearly, the color was what made it so special to me.

I hope for another time in the future where we can reclaim the manufacturing specifics that used to make our country great.

Pray for a world where the meticulousness of great sewers is honored as an art and repaid as something of value.

I wish for a world with less stuff: fewer things but finer things.

Materialism has gotten out of control.

We do not need so much stuff.

My mother has kept all her clothes from the past. She has a large closet but not one that is insanely big. But she bought clothing of quality, and that was classic in its design and style. After all, some things never go out of fashion.

She does not buy clothes any longer. Not for years because she hates the fabrics, color, shape, and style. And I have to agree with her.

Even if today, I became a sewing master, the fabrics out there are not good, and the ones that are, are so expensive that it makes sewing prohibitive.

I also feel the same way about knitting. I used to love to knit. I could make an amazing sweater tailored to my shape and size perfectly for much less than I could buy a sweater. My mother still has one that I made her.

But now, just the yarn alone will cost you hundreds of dollars, and then the time it takes to knit it is tremendous.

We are losing things of value in the way we consume. We are losing the joy of creating clothing of art and beauty. We are losing touch with skills that used to calm us down as we watched television.

I remember making socks for the men of Ballet West at a terrible time for me personally. While I waited in rehearsal to dance, I was so unhappy that I sat and knitted handmade socks with reinforced toes and heels. They were made to last a long time. While not everyone got socks, I gave many pairs away. It was a way to de-stress and to feel as if I was doing something that was bringing joy to others at a time when I was tremendously unhappy.

It saved me.

There are things in this world that matter. There are things that we are decreasing certain values in this world and do not help us in the process.

We are losing sight of something that has been intensely human for millions of years—creating and making things that are useful and necessary.

I wish to find a way to step back into a pattern that will be life-affirming and support the powerful creativity that is what humanity has always been about.

I may or may not see it in the future. But I can tell you that I am looking for things that are made with heart and soul, have quality and color, and have a way that makes me smile when I see and touch them.

Who knows what will come next. We value electronics more than how we dress, especially after this pandemic. I still like to look and feel good. It helps me feel better. I am sure I am not alone.
