Numerology/Astrology for 10/10/18

 

10/10/18 is the number 4. The number 4 today, makes me ask myself the question, “What am I for (four)?” The number 4 is about the seriousness and discipline that is required for systems to work and order to be maintained. You have to have laws and rules. You have to have laws that the people deem appropriate and reasonable or they will rebel and go against those rules. When laws are just, society moves smoothly. When people and situations are in place that are unjust, the upset leads to chaos, which then promotes mayhem, and then (ultimately) rebellion ensues.

Laws are designed to help promote dignity for the people and to minimize fear. Loyalty comes not from fear but from honest inclusion. While there are countries that control by fear, such systems do not last long unless they are tremendously isolated. They also use brainwashing techniques to control the people to make them more docile and manageable.

But this is America. A country of rebels, wild cowboys, risk-takers, and freedom seekers. Such techniques might work on a few but the majority will not abide by such restrictive and obviously manipulative techniques. So once again, we get back to the number 4 and what creates neutral flow within your soul and outside in your world. Personally, inside, I am calm, neutral, and at peace. Thank goodness for the many years of meditation and inner work that allows me to see that the external is merely a mirror to the unhealed parts of myself. Dealing with the external is what needs to be worked on. But again, in is out and out is in.

Step one. Do not let those with external power ever control your soul. Never give your power away to any one person, place, idea, religion, or thing. Because eventually you will have to take your power back. And that can be a messy affair.

Step two. Actively express your voice in a way that is constructive, inclusive, compassionate, forgiving, and expansive. If you decide to keep growing and learning you will find the answer to the upset that is triggering you right now.

Step three. Complacency will never get you anywhere. Complacency is comparable to being a slave. And I know that is not what anyone wants to feel. As Americans we pride ourselves on our independence. But if you allow someone to control your mind, you become a slave to another’s ideal. You no longer have the power or the voice to say what you believe. You are at the whim of (perhaps) good intentioned people, but human and fallible people all the same.

Step four. What do you need to do in this moment to step beyond your karmic patterns so that as you move forward you consciously intend to unchain yourself from the fears, concerns, anger, upsets, and beliefs from your ancestors, other lifetimes, and your own present experiences? I know that is a complicated question. And honestly, no one should have a quick answer. I look at that question daily. And I find new things often. You cannot see what you are unaware of as a possibility. You cannot see the manipulations of others if you cannot see the manipulations of your own mind on your soul.

Astrology Today

 

Mercury moved into Scorpio on Tuesday and it will be there until the 30th. There will also be a bit more in early December due to the coming Mercury retrograde cycle. Superficial conversations will seem extremely annoying now. Deep level, focused connection is favored. Really no one is going to be interested in your opinions. If you cannot back things up with real facts, video, and audio, then you might as well keep your mouth shut. Clearly things and patterns of the past are not working.

It is time to open to the innovative new ideas on Wednesday as mental Mercury and inventive Uranus dance together in the sky. At the same time, relationship planets Venus and Mars are in a difficult relationship, so it is best to wait on those relationship conversations that you already know are not going to be easy.

Know that old conflicts may surface and issues that you believed you had put to rest awaken once again to show you where you buried certain patterns that now need to be remedied.

Mercury opposing Uranus is confrontational and controversial. Expect some push back and arguing. Let the friction challenge your mind and allow it to seek new ways of doing things. Breakthroughs are possible if this is channeled correctly.

Retrograde Venus squares off with Mars and awakens urges and desires. Though some of those may be distractions designed to take you off course. Your uncomfortable past is awakening. It takes discomfort to make you change. You must take a look at what you have done through the eyes of a new found understanding and awareness. You finally begin to see that your wounded, stuck, and frozen self has acted inappropriately and that is now clearer than it has ever been. It is going to be up to you to make the difficult changes to shift beyond habit and into more conscious action. You are seeing the discrepancy between your values and your actions. That may be a shock to you. it may be difficult to admit. But you have fallen into a trap and now only you can get yourself out.

This is not the time to buy a car, house, etc. Impulse purchases are going to backfire on you.

With the Moon in the passionate sign of Scorpio all day, know that you are being asked to continue to plumb the depths of your behaviors and actions.
