Numerology/Astrology for 1/16/16
January 16th is the number 8. Yes, today you might feel a bit down and out. It could be the weather. It could be the winter season. It could be your biorhythm. But now is a time to practice one of my mottos, “No excuses!” Yes, that means every moment is a moment to practice what you want your life to reflect. It is easy to stay positive when everything is going your way. It is much harder to do it when things want to pull you down. Now that does not mean lie to yourself about how you are feeling, it means notice the truth and choose to cultivate joy, happiness, kindness, and compassion. It will make you feel better no matter what. Do not be one of those people that becomes attached to your suffering. Hanging on to an emotion takes a lot of energy to do because emotions are supposed to be fluid. They change like the shifts in the weather. You let the weather be what it is ….. the weather. But during that weather you can find the beauty in that moment. When it is raining hard as it has been here in northern California I feel into how happy the trees are feeling because we have been in the drought for so long and I become one with the trees blissing out on the desperately needed rain. I feel how the animals slow down and calm down, as they know that the grass is going to spring up and there will be more to eat soon. Just because I don’t like the wet cold does not mean that others are not relaxing into it and enjoying this very same moment in a very different way. The Moon is in pioneering, bold Aries all day, and a First Quarter Moon occurs this evening, when the Sun in Capricorn forms a square with the Aries Moon. There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. Shortly after that moment you will be made aware of how your actions affect those close to you. Whatever project or initiative you began at the New Moon is finally getting off the ground. Just be ready that it may also face its first obstacles. Today you might feel caught between following the rules or sticking with the things that are tried and true. Do yourself a favor. Try something new. You might enjoy it and besides it is good for your brain to get out of that rut it has been in. There is always more to learn and more ways to grow.
