12/11/19 is the number 8. Today, might make you reflect backwards and see how much you have lost over the past year. While it is normal to be nostalgic at the holidays, today seems especially poignant. It might seem that many are leaving the planet and it does seem that there are cosmic openings happening allowing others to move past this realm into the next existence. You may miss some of importance from your past and wish that they were there right now to offer comfort and support. But know that they are there. You can call their name and I do believe that this intention will bring them to you (if they are not already there). The veils seem very thin between this world and the next and there seems to be a deep desire to connect to things that have given us meaning in our life. Perhaps it is time to cook your grandmothers famous holiday treats. Perhaps it is time to establish some traditions with your family that echo some evolving past traditions that ran in your family. Connections come in from remembering and appreciating the efforts that others did when they had less than us now. Happiness comes in small packages of connection, flavors, and love shared.

Astrology Today

Today is a bit of a contradiction with the Full Moon impacting Gemini and Sagittarius. On one level you are ready for a party. You may want and need to talk to everyone. However, Neptune’s dreaminess is challenging the Full Moon. It wants to either share on a private, sacred level or  hide out and get away from all the chaos from the holidays. The Gemini’s and Sagittarius’s is ready for anything. And they intend to inspire the rest of us with curiosity and enthusiasm. But don’t forget that there is increasing pressure from Saturn and Pluto moving towards that conjunction in serious Capricorn. And its intention is to bring you back down to earth.

Venus and Saturn are perfectly conjuncting at this time. Finances begin to loom into your awareness. Relationship issues come to a head and you may not like to hear the information. Things are more complicated than you wish and while you may not like any drama, it will be more drama. Know that someone is testing the boundaries and commitments. While  you may feel loyal and responsible, circumstances continue to be challenging. Exactly how to move forward is confusing and you maya be unclear on the direction, or how to mentally organize things so you can manage.

Overall, emotions are high and while talking about them makes some sense, your results are not exactly what  you were expecting.

There is an uneasiness that makes you want to give support but not quite enough energy to do it to the level that you wish you could. Moods swing wildly while you also feel a bit behind the 8 ball. Your sincerity is on the line and while that is good, it does leave you vulnerable on all intimacy levels. Be aware of potential dramatic and tragic developments. Your search for pleasure might not work out the way you intended. Nerves are frayed and tempers are short.

On the holidays I just want to simply decorate a “Charlie Brown Christmas Tree”. And look out to the snow and wrap myself in my fake fur throw and lay by the fireplace. Winter for me is all about calm and quiet. It is one of those moments that are about rejuvenation, connection, smells, tastes, and love. Everyone has personal, family, holiday traditions. While those are wonderful and important, what is the best for me is the peaceful silence that is winter. It is a moment to contemplate, think, feel, reflect, and come to terms with the progress learned throughout the year. It is often the small things that make a bigger difference to me. Big gifts are less important and what is more important are those moments of laughter and hugs from those you love. It is the time of winter solstice and the return of the light. It is that moment of time and space where you are caught between great forces that constantly push and pull at all of us. It is the reminder that all things shift and change with the times and the light. It helps me appreciate the progress of my owe soul in the development of compassion and caring for this world and the lives that share it with me. I put out apples, pears, nuts and fruits for the deer. The bear will crash the party too and even though he or she is not being left out, bears are often like that drunk uncle that comes at the holidays and then does not want to leave. So it is tricky to support the power and life of a bear but want that same bear to continue to wander. That is why we need open spaces for them to live a wild and full life. That is why we need to allow all of life to have those sacred spaces. Humans also need the wild spaces for our spirits to heal and reflect. They are now more critical than ever before.
