Numerology/Astrology for 2/20/20

2/20/20 is the number 8. If you add the 2 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 8.

It is normal to feel sad for what is happening right now. If you feel nothing then something is not right within your psyche. But egos can blind us to what is happening. Denial is a powerful force that intends to block all forms of awakening. Use your powers for good. Use your positive intentions to be kind. The world needs more compassion than ever before. Without that, we are in a pattern of self-destruction. I know we have the tools to make this world a better place. I know we have so much still to learn. And I know that a majority believe that a new way will take us past so much suffering and pain into a place where honor and respect can become the norm.

Astrology Today

There is a long term transit that will impact us for most of this year. It is a sextile between Jupiter and Neptune. There are three altogether. The next one is July 27th and then October 12th. The world needs imagination, spirituality, and compassion to counteract the extreme negativity of Jupiter in Capricorn. The question is how do you find a place of center in such times where expectations are shattered and the rules of normalcy are being torn apart? What is clear in all challenging times is that you cannot have a clear “win” if you surrender your morals and values in order to get your objectives. There are great consequences to such actions.

The Moon will move from serious and structured Capricorn into Aquarius in mid-afternoon. This brings a type of rebellion, open-mindedness and a desire to figure out how to get going. Comfort is clearly not in the picture so you recognize that sitting in old energy and waiting for it to change is ridiculous. You are going to need activity to make it shift. Tune in, tune up, and make the changes that are necessary.

In general pursue all things with great care and deliberation. Enjoy sentiment but do not fall into complacency. That leads to depression and melancholy. Emotions that are not helpful in this time and place. Know that you are not alone. Relationships are there for you when you need them. This might be an evening where you feel headstrong and a bit over the top. Don’t let the news derail your intention and good deeds. No matter what, be kind.

Quote

You can run but you cannot hide
From the pain you deny inside.
Things that you refuse to see
Manifest externally.
You are not the thing that you deny.
But you cannot thrive within a lie.
That is why you seek to find.
Something that is powerfully sublime.
I hope you find that which you seek.
I hope you discover where you are unique.

Blog

I think of my ancestors who fought so hard for freedom. Those that took the risk and made the sacrifices to come here and those that fought so bravely for the freedoms that are being systematically taken away.

I remember the stories from my grandfather. How he taught young men to fly, as he was a WWII Pilot Trainer. I remember the pain of the losses that happened even in training before they were shipped off to fight in the war.

I remember the stories of my Great-Grandfather coming from Austria in the late 1800’s and how he refused to speak anything but English. He wanted his children to be accepted into America.

I remember one of my Great-Grandmother’s coming over from Ireland because of the Irish Potato Famine in 1850, at the age of 13. Can you imagine a girl so desperate that she put herself on a boat, by herself, in hopes of a better life? And she was a young girl without anyone to protect her.

The courage such actions take, runs in my blood.

Strong ancestors have paved the way for what and who I am. When I am afraid or uncertain as to what to do, I think of another Great Grandmother who lost her husband (who worked on the trains) in a coupling accident, as two trains were being hooked together. (During coupling, a rail worker had to stand between the cars as they came together and guide the link into the coupler pocket. Once the cars were joined, the employee inserted a pin into a hole a few inches from the end of the tube to hold the link in place.) My Great Grandfather slipped and he got coupled instead. My Great Grandmother was left alone and she and her 4 children lived in a boxcar for years as my Great Grandmother fed the trainmen in order to make money.

Can you imagine, living in a cold box car with no insulation in the winter moving constantly from place to place with 4 children to take care of?

But she saved her money and ended up in the Oklahoma Territories when they were opened up. And she waited with her covered wagon and 4 children for the gun to go off so she could ride out and claim her land.

She was smart. She knew where the new train lines and new towns would be. And so she claimed her land right in the correct place to board and feed trainmen. She built the boarding house with her own hands and the help of her children.
I am proud that I come from such strong and sturdy stock. I am never alone. I am always connected to those that walked in life before me. Their presence in my blood gives me courage to stand up and stand true.
I come from a line of amazing people who knew how to put everything on the line and regardless of circumstances, they knew how to survive and thrive. They never gave up. They never gave in. They believed in what America was about and they fought for it throughout their lives.

I wish to live a life of which I am proud.
Even though I have no children of my own, I look at my nieces and nephews and see the strength and stamina of my ancestors. And while this line energetically ends with me, the generations will continue on through my sisters children and their children.

My gifts to this world come not in the form of offspring. But in actions, poetry, creative expression, dance, teaching, sharing of wisdom, and writing.
Because of this amazing time we live in, hopefully my words will continue to float out there into a world that will recreate itself and recover the freedoms that so many have held so dear. Hopefully my videos will be found on the internet and inspire others to open their mind and heart to the infinite quest for the eternal light that exists within each and every person.

I will continue to share the heart and soul of who I am and hopefully in that expression, it will touch others in ways that inspire them to their greatness.
This world cannot survive without hope. I have intended to always be that beacon of hope and show the love that is in honest expression and authentic sharing.

I look ahead to the younger generation that is powerful and strong enough to beat back the hatred from ancient times that is long past and that should be dead and buried.
I see the drive and certainty that they can and will do what we have not done. I hold the light of hope out to them to do it quickly so that we do not lose so many precious forms of life and nature.
I know they are here to change the course of darkness that threatens to take over our world. I know we are in a new cycle that is going to be nothing like the old one. And whether I am here or not to see all the magnificent changes, what I know is that truth and love always wins in the end. Hate and evil extinguish itself eventually. And what is left is what is true.
I feel sad for those lost in the illusions of hateful men and women. I know the path that they must walk to reclaim their own souls from the clutches of darkness. I know it is a very long and painful path.
The rules of this world are simple. The pain and suffering that you cause others, you will have to feel. Yes, every excruciating moment you will have to experience, until you learn.
Until you learn that darkness is never that pathway to peace. That hate will never stop the suffering you feel within. And that the fear you deny will be the fuel for you to manifest great evil in the world.
