2/2/17 is the number 5. Time to get grounded. The world is spinning more and more rapidly so having a solid foundation is going to be necessary as you move forward. The world as you knew it is now like quicksand so you have to find where your stability lies within your core. Appreciate these changing times because moments as drastic as this will stay burned into your memory forever. 20 years from now, you will remember your actions and reactions. 20 years from now you will see truth more clearly than you can now. 20 years from now you will either be proud of yourself or see through this distortion of your own illusions.

Mercury forms a square with Jupiter today, and the Aries Moon plays into this aspect as it aligns with Uranus, opposes Jupiter and squares Mercury and you may dramatically notice how emotionally invested you are in your perceptions. This is a time when you are inclined to exaggerate or blow things out of proportion. Information overload is possible now, and it’s all too easy to miss or neglect important details. Try to not exaggerate. You may have a hard time putting your ideas to practical use. And there is a tendency to overstate under this influence. Your ideas and plans may be too grandiose for now. You could have a hard time convincing others of your point of view, and you could too easily jump to conclusions. There could be a lot of talk about nothing now and a lack of clear mental focus, but you may make measurable progress if you can stay on task. The Moon leaves Aries and enters Taurus at 8:51 PM EST. We crave predictability under the influence of a Taurus Moon.

There are two eclipses this month that are very interesting. The lunar eclipse on the 10th is the first of a series in Leo and Aquarius, with these signs not having been around in eclipses since 2009. It sets up the energy to prepare you for the total solar eclipse over the USA coming on August 21st.

Lunar eclipses tend to be emotional and this one lands very close to assertive warrior Mars in Donald Trump’s natal chart. The higher vibration of Leo is to open hearts and the higher vibration of Aquarius is to create win-win environments to bring higher ideals into the world. Of course, we all have to choose where we shall operate in the polarity of the high and low vibration of each sign.

The solar eclipse on the 26th is the last in a series of Pisces-Virgo eclipses for another nine years. A solar eclipse represents new beginnings coming from a deeper, soul level, yet this one also represents endings since it is the last Pisces eclipse. Open to a higher vision, but also be prepared to burst any illusions you are holding. Valentine’s Day is under a relationship oriented Libra moon (and Libra likes jewelry and luxurious things). There are also several big challenges from Mars February 22-27, so don’t force square pegs into round holes later this month.

February 1-4:

The month begins under an Aries moon, so move your body on Wednesday through most of the afternoon Thursday. On the subtle side, Venus is just now entering the shadow of her less common retrograde cycle coming March 4. You begin to get hints about how you will be revising relationships and finances through April. Thursday morning does have a challenge between Mercury and Jupiter. Give yourself extra time in traffic and think before you speak.

On Friday, Venus enters Aries for an unusually long time. Normally, Venus spends about three weeks in a sign but the goddess of love will be in Aries most of the time through early June. Venus wants sharing and Aries wants independence. Begin to look at how you balance your individuality needs with your relationship needs. With the moon in Taurus on Friday and most of Saturday, you will want to accomplish something tangible and then give yourself a sensual treat as a reward. The moon moves into talkative Gemini at 8:44 PM Pacific Time Saturday, suggesting you can get out into social environments or at least read a good book.

From about the 6^th of February forward expect a wild ride. How you handle that ride depends on your attitude and how much you are willing to flow with this intensity of the waves hitting. Change is inevitable and as such you determine who you are on a deep, soul, core, level. I hope you like what you discover. I hope you can live with your shadow. And I hope your shadow can be balanced with the other sides of your essence.
