Numerology/Astrology for 2/24/16

2/24/16 is the number 8. Grief is in our life to allow us to appreciate what we have had as the baseline normal reality. So often we long for what we desire and forget to see what is offered on a consistent basis. Today’s day allows that reflective moment and allows a moment of deep gratitude. The Moon is in Virgo until 5:42 PM EST, forming a sextile with Mars and helping motivate you to be busy and to get things done. This theme is echoed in a Mercury-Mars parallel that encourages putting ideas into motion and enthusiasm for ideas or learning. The Moon enters Libra at 5:42 PM EST, turning your emotional focus to relationship balance. Mercury and Saturn are approaching a sextile, exact early tomorrow, and while you may have been a little scattered or impulsive earlier on, you begin to rely on more traditional methods and structures in order to accomplish tasks as the day advances.

Pain forces a radical shift
out of habitual ways of
moving, behavior, and tempo.
Pain forces you to pay attention
to each and every movement.
So often we take our body for
granted and ignore this
incredible machine that allows
our soul to have this most
precious human experience.
Pain allows you to appreciate
that energetic connection.

Pain shapes us not because of the story we make up about it as the mind loves to search for answers but because it forces a radical shift out of habitual ways of moving, behavior, and tempo. Pain forces you to pay attention to each and every movement. So often we take our body for granted and ignore this incredible machine that allows our soul to have this most precious human experience. Pain allows you to appreciate that energetic connection. It amazes me how patient the human body is with the unreasonable demands we constantly impose on it. That demand sharpens the connections of nerves, brain, and muscles. It allows the body to evolve and become more masterful in this physical realm. Just notice how much stronger, faster, and coordinated athletes, dancers, and those who demand much from their bodies are now than even just 50 years ago.
